Amistad Program

While Amistad is away carrying out her mission, Quinnipiack will continue to teach the Amistad story and her mission here in New Haven. Learn about the Amistad incident of 1839. We also discuss the legal battle that involved three countries and pit two American Presidents against each other and eventually led to the freedom of the illegally captured Africans.
